Is Free Calling A Myth?

Free calling might be a concept as foreign as living in outer space, but if you look in the right places this magical world is completely real.
I don’t know about you but looking at my cell phone usage every week to make sure I’m not going to go over my minutes is a pain. Why can’t things just be simple?
Free calling might be a concept as foreign as living in outer space, but if you look in the right places this magical world is completely real. People all over the world calling and talking for free with no minute restrictions, yes it’s a wonderful thing. You don’t even have to be in the same country, free calling can happen across town or across the globe. I’ll tell you how.
Cellular carriers like AT&T, Verizon and T-Moblile all charge for monthly talk time. You sign a contract for X amount of minutes a month, these contracts charge you anywhere from $20 to $90 a month to talk on your cell phone. Then if you go over your contracted minutes, forget about it. They’re going to charge a premium price to punish you.
The direction voice communication is heading is digitally over the internet. What, my voice isn’t traveling over telephone lines? No, all communication, including voice is moving to the internet. This change over is going to increase call clarity and give you a host of other features like SMS, video and data sharing. When information is transmitted through the internet the price drops dramatically. New companies like MilliTalk have figured out how to pass along the price savings to customers and have begun to promote their digital voice phone services.
Sounds good but saving money isn’t the same as free.
To talk for free you’ll need app like ours for your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. MilliTalk phone service, a free download in the app store, allows people to talk for free to anyone else with the same app. Across town or across the globe, you’ll be able to talk to friends and family for as long as you like. That is free calling at its finest.
Cheers,
Ryan
